1. Ulnar shaft fracture又称为Nightstick Fracture，通常都是晚上被人用棍子打，伸手抵挡时造成骨折。

2. Radial shaft fracture为isolated fracture，发生在junction of the middle and distal thirds，容易移位，所以要开刀。

3. 若ulnar shaft和radial shaft都发生骨折，小孩可以用close reduction恢复，12岁以上要开刀打plate，效果会较好，且不会影响到关节。

下列的骨折情形皆需开刀处理：
1. 大人的有桡骨或尺骨的脱位骨折(displaced fracture)时。
2. 所有尺骨的离体移位性骨折(isolated displaced fracture)。
3. 尺骨的isolated fracture角度大于10度。
4. 所有的Monteggia Fracture。
5. 所有的Galeazzi fracture。
6. 开放性骨折。
7. 合并腔室症候群(compartment syndrome)的骨折，不管脱位的严重程度。
