后颈三角的界线：前方为胸锁乳突肌sternocleidomastoid (SCM)的后缘，后方为斜方肌trapezius的前缘，下方为锁骨中段三分之一。其中胸锁乳突肌为前、后颈三角的界线。
颈后三角(Posterior Triangle of the Neck)可以被肩胛舌骨肌的下腹(inferior belly of omohyoid)细分成枕三角(occipital triangle)与锁骨上三角(supraclavicular triangle)
